Ministry to the Sick

Ministry to the Sick

The Catholic Church offers sacramental healing for all those who are temporarily ill or suffering with a serious or terminal illness.

The parish priests are available to offer the sacraments of healing through the Anointing of the Sick and reconciliation through Penance by confession of sins.

Those seeking these sacraments for themselves or a loved one should call the parish office with their request. The priest will make every effort to respond without delay to the individual request.

Please call: 973-427-1478 at any time.

During non-business hours, follow the directions given in the telephone message and leave a voice mail with your name, your request and a telephone number where the priest may reach you.

In addition to these sacraments, the Sacrament of Eucharist (communion) can be brought to hospitalized, the homebound and the sick through the Bethany Ministry team by contacting Deacon Tony at (973) 427-1478.

This ministry is dedicated to visiting the hospitalized, the sick and the homebound. It consists of volunteer lay persons who bring Eucharist or just visit those parishioners who are unable to attend Mass.

We seek to bring Christ's love, compassion and companionship to those that we serve in imitation of Jesus Christ. If you know someone who would like a visit or to receive the Eucharist on a regular basis, please contact Deacon Tony at (973) 427-1478.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Bethany Ministry team, please send an email to: Deacon Tony or call him at (973) 427-1478, ext. 17.

We seek to bring Christ's love, compassion and companionship to those that we serve in imitation of Jesus Christ.
